Merry Christmas

Well, it's December 21. I will be officially starting my Christmas shopping today. I wish we could put a 2 gift $200 limit and be done with it, but it is about merchandising and each generation seems to get more involved. I don't think God ever had the idea of "getting", it seems to me it started out as His gift to fallen man to redeem him from his destruction. That's alot different than an iPod or Wii game, or an expensive piece of jewelery or... the list can go on and on. I don't have a lot of close family; a brother and a sister, each having their own kids. My wife and I don't (not by our choice) so we do what we can. I just can't seem to get in the "spirit" this year but being out and about helps me. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with getting excited to celebrate the coming of our Saviour, I just need help in the other area. Have a blessed and Merry Christmas. For those of you lacking enthusiasm because of something similar to what I have written, read the Bible, especially the account of Jesus in the beginning of the book of Luke (New Testament) and plug in to the real meaning and you can have a very Merry Christmas.
